Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge

This weekend, you can expect to see a closure on the southbound lanes on the Ship Channel Bridge. This closure will take place Friday at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday at 9:00 p.m. The idea of this closure is to prepare for further work. Starting Sunday at 9:00 p.m. the right southbound lane on the Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel Bridge will be an extended closure for about four months.

I-610 North Loop

Do you often travel on the North Loop? Well, there will be a big closure this weekend that may impact you. The Texas Department of Transportation plans to close the westbound lanes of the 610 North Loop from Hardy Toll Rd to Airline Dr. This will allow crews to conduct pavement repairs. This closure will kick off on Friday at 9:00 p.m. through Sunday at 5:00 a.m. Drivers should anticipate delays and consider alternate routes.

METRORail Improvements

Due to METRORail improvements there will be changes to the weekend service. From April 20-21st METRO will offer a modified service on the Purple line. The two-way bus shuttle service between the Palm Center Transit Center to Eado / Stadium station will run every 12 minutes. If you are a rider, be sure to plan. The bus shuttle service is free.

Travel smart & have a wonderful weekend!
