FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A wanted mother from Illinois has been arrested in Friendswood on charges associated with abducting her own children.
Friday afternoon, officers with Friendswood Police Department spotted a vehicle that had been connected to a parental abduction from Burbank, Illinois, earlier this week.

Police stopped the vehicle and identified Veronica Lepe as the mother of the children and the fugitive police were searching for.
The three children, who were between the ages of four and eight years old, were unharmed, and Lepe was taken into custody without incident.
